Mafolie 1943-1964

Growing up in Mafolie, we shared oh so many cherished memories and experiences.

Both you and Aunt Elaine were the leaders of the LADIES softball cheering group under the shade tree, sitting on the white drainage culverts as your group cheered the SIBILLY men's softball team in Sibs ball field as we took on teams from French Town or the east end in our usual Sunday rivalry. Cousin Eddie usually led the charge both on the field and when we retired to Pappie's house to eat your mom's famous chicken soup.

You were indeed a beautiful young lady, but Auntie Laine was very strict; she wouldn't let you leave the country house unless cousin Bobby was by your side.

Ours was a wonderful childhood! But then you went off to represent the VI in the Miss Universe contest. A very big supportive shout out to our many family friends and supporters, from former Governor Cyril King, to the local Taxi drivers who eagerly supported our transportation needs from downtown to Mafolie.

You're so blessed to have arrived safely in Heaven, where Eddie, your mom, Elaine, Auntie Cecile, and the entire earlier deceased Sibilly gang will eagerly take good care of you.

RIP, my dear cousin. We love you!!!

Cousin Bobby
